Tradtionally Neutral
Switzerland, has a long history of neutrality, thus avoiding international conflicts.

"Switzerland self-imposed, permanent, and armed, designed to ensure external security. Switzerland is the second oldest neutral country in the world; it has not fought a foreign war since its neutrality was established by the Congress of Vienna in 1815.

Throughout Swiss history, its national territory has been coveted by surrounding powers. Declaring neutrality and being ready to enforce it was and continues to be the best means by which Switzerland can maintain national security.

Switzerland can save money for economic development that would normally go towards defense spending. Being a neutral power also allows Switzerland to profit in the financial services industry, because of it's stability."
