Inergy, L.P., with its subsidiaries, sells, distributes, stores, processes, and fractions propane, natural gas, and natural gas liquids throughout the US and Canada to a wide range of customers: from residential to industrial and agricultural. It is also a wholesale supplier, marketer, and distributor. Inergy provides services and distribution in 40 states, in addition to selling and leasing propane supplies and equipment. As of October 31, 2008, Inergy had approximately 700,000 retail customers in 28 states in the central and eastern US. The company also maintains 313 customer service centers. Its midstream operations includes a large procession, storage, and transportation facility in Bakersfield california.
