Chicken Description Update
Chickens are an important source of food for many countries. While the chicken itself is a meat, also hens produce eggs which can also be a food source. Chickens are known by names such as chicken, fowl, rooster, or cocks. They are a domesticated fowl. Although the actual location of the domestication of chickens is not quite clear, it is known that they were domesticated in India. Recent discoveries suggest that they were actually domesticated in Vietnam more than 10,000 years ago. They are known to be a descendant of the Red Jungle Fowl. Chicken is a commodity but because they are so easily raised, there is not much import or export of the birds themselves.
